STANDING ON BUSINESS

PSALM 1: 1-4

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. 4 The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.

PSALM 24:8,

Who is this KING Of Glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle.

John 4:14,

“but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again.”

JAMES 1:2-4,

2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

I. Every storm is an opportunity to put your trust in God.

1 SAMUEL 17: 46-47

46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

II: YOU NEVER KNOW HOW STRONG YOU ARE UNTIL GOD PUTS YOU IN A POSITION TO SHOW HIS STRENGTH THROUGH YOU.

III: WHEN THE BATTLE IS OVERWHELMING, IT’S TIME TO REMEMBER WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY BROUGHT YOU THROUGH.

NEHEMIAH 8:10

FOR THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH

DANIEL 3:24-25

24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” 25 He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”

IV: GOD IS WITH YOU IN THE DARK & STORMY TIMES

ACTS 16:25-26,

25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, 26 and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened.

V. WHAT YOU’RE GOING THROUGH WILL SOON BE A TESTIMONY THAT WILL END UP BLESSING SOMEONE ELSE.

DANIEL 3:27,

And the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.

REVELATIONS 12:11,

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

ROMANS 8:35-39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

PSALM 92: 12-13

12 The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13 They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God.
